Wadaiko Koichi have won numerous awards from competitions and contests. Our team not only perform Japanese drumming; our Japanese cultural performances with a range traditional instruments—such as the shinobue flute, percussion instruments, lion dances, and theatrical dances—are highly acclaimed by our audiences.
Enjoy with your eyes, listen with your ears, and experience the vibrations with your whole body.
We also offer hands-on experience sessions on request. Please contact us for details. It will surely change your perception of Japanese drums.

Arranging a performance
① First, contact us by phone or using the email form. The we can discuss your preferred dates and budget.

② Complete registration. Once the dates and cost have been decided, complete an application form.
③ Negotiations
We can discuss your needs regarding the content of the performance by email or phone, then we will complete a Performance Details form.
④ Prior to the day and on the day.
We will finalize details regarding the flow of the event from start to finish, such as microphone positions, seating arrangements, and other details before the actual performance begins.


① Setup and Preparation
2 to 4 hours (For morning performances, setup may be required the previous day depending on the content.)
② Final Meeting
Final meeting with the instructor in charge ※See Performance Flow Step 4
③Students enter the venue 10 - 15 minutes before the show
④Greetings from the person in charge and then the show begins.
⑤ Performance
The performance and have-a-go sessions as requested will take place.
⑥ Performance ends and person in charge gives closing greetings.
⑦ Clear up and load out.
